Ebrima Jobe is an aspiring educator, writer, and storyteller from The Gambia, with a deep passion for both African folklore and the development of literacy. His academic journey began in an Arabic school, where he spent several years learning Arabic. However, driven by curiosity and a desire to broaden his horizons, Ebrima expanded his studies to include English, creating a unique blend of language proficiency that would shape his future.
In 2016, Ebrima made a decisive move to dedicate himself fully to learning English, alongside his ongoing Arabic studies. This ambitious decision marked the beginning of his journey into English language mastery. His dedication and determination paid off, as he graduated from the 12th grade in 2022, ready to take on new challenges. Ebrima then entered the University of The Gambia, where he currently studies English and Computer Science.
Alongside his studies, Ebrima is deeply passionate about teaching. He works as a literacy teacher at The Gambia Academy, where he encourages young minds to discover the joy of reading and writing. His teaching philosophy centers on nurturing creativity and critical thinking in students, empowering them to become lifelong learners.
Writing is another integral part of Ebrima’s life. He enjoys crafting stories for children, drawing on his rich cultural heritage and the oral traditions of African storytelling. Through his stories, Ebrima seeks to inspire the next generation of readers, instilling in them a sense of pride in their cultural roots and an understanding of the power of storytelling.
